Sourse:Greek Salad Recipe

Winter squash is harvested very late into the fall, eaten in its mature fruit stage, and has a longer storage potential—all unlike its summer equivalent. In addition, all varieties of winter squash provide an irresistible variety of conventional nutrients. Winter squashes usually grow as vines and are designated as “weak-stemmed tender annual vines” with large cucumber-like leaves.

They also come in a dazzling array of sizes, shapes, and hues. Those of you seeking to vary your meals while maintaining good nutrition and honoring organic and local traditions (that just might be all of us) would be well-served to do some experimenting with these robust vegetables. So, the next time you feel a craving for something new, squash it.

8 Varieties of Winter Squash

1. Acorn Squash
Look for its ridged green skin with speckled orange patches and pale yellow-orange flesh–all in an acorn shape that tapers at one end. Sweet, nutty, and peppery at the same time, acorn squash is a good source of dietary fiber and potassium, as well as smaller amounts of vitamins C and B, magnesium, and manganese. Makes for a warming winter soup.

2. Banana Squash
It may be somewhat shaped like a banana usually with a bright yellowy (thick) skin but this winter squash is much, much bigger…reaching upwards of 70 pounds. Its moist and hearty flesh contains a very high water content and plenty of beta carotene. Delicious with a red onion sauté.

3. Butternut Squash

Imagine something that looks like a large pear with cream-colored skin while delivering a deep orange-colored flesh and sweet flavor and you'd have the popular butternut squash. A good source of fiber, vitamin C, manganese, magnesium, and potassium and an excellent source of vitamin A, butternut squash rocks with tofu, coconut milk, and toasted almonds.

4. Delicata Squash

Rich in vitamin A, the oblong delicata has creamy beige skin with dark green stripes. Its mild taste is ideal for a bisque.

Sourse:Seafood Salad Recipe

A couple of my young and highly talented friends were winding down in the wee hours after their snapping GO LIVE! REAL FOOD performance in Waikiki when they got the news of the Chilean earthquake. They 'stood fixated on the flat screens, drinks in hand' as real time images of Chilean destruction were quickly followed by an official tsunami warning and a barrage of historic Hawaiian newsreel footage documenting the devastating tidal wave that hit Hilo back in 1947. After ordering an evacuation of coastal areas, the government advised people to stock up on a weeks worth of food. This is when hip-hop artists Jennifer Johns, Erwin Thomas and Lynnete Kaid learned a sobering fact:

There are only 3-5 days of food reserves available on the island. The land of lush tropical forests, sparkling waterfalls and deep, rich volcanic soils imports over 85% of its food. It is materially impossible for everyone to “stock up” on a week's food in Hawai'i.

(Read their account here)

Like many other islands that have fallen first under double whammy of colonialism and then tourism (Canary Islands, Puerto Rico and Jamaica), Hawai'i has become easy prey to the corporate food regime and no longer feeds itself. The local and indigenous population has been made poor, leaving them dependent on cheap, processed, unhealthy food from the mainland, and plunging them into epidemics of diet-related disease (obesity, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, etc). As the economy worsens, these communities are forced to rely more and more on food banks, turning what was once a stop-gap food source into a permanent grocery stop for poor — and increasingly — working families.

The great tsunami eventually rolled in that day at a weak 3 feet high, barely big enough to increase the heart rate of a boogie-boarding tourist. Authorities were right to order the evacuation. Better safe than sorry. But what if it had been a big one? Aside from the physical destruction of coastal areas, what would it have meant for Hawaii's food system? Food banks are already pushed past their limit and the island's capacity to produce its own food has been turned over to corporate monopolies. In the event of a destructive tsunami (assuming the airport is not destroyed and food supplies can still be flown in), we can still imagine who would be most affected by the inevitable food price inflation resulting from the temporary scarcity: the native Hawaiians.

Hawaii's pseudo-tsunami uncovers some nagging realities of our dysfunctional corporate food regime. Built over the last half-century and dominated by increasingly ravenous monopolies (think ADM, Cargill, Monsanto, Dole, Walmart) this regime has managed to make most of the world dependent not only on a volatile global market, but on a limited number of commercial crops and varieties that are highly vulnerable to natural hazards. When these hit, the poor and underserved are the ones that suffer the most.

How many underserved communities across the US are vulnerable islands of food insecurity?

In Hawai'i a number of local organizations are working to bring the food supply back under the control of the island's inhabitants. Hawai`i SEED is a statewide non-profit coalition of grassroots groups composed of farmers, doctors, scientists, lawyers, concerned citizens, and Native Hawaiians that is dedicated to promoting diverse, local, healthy and ecological food and farming that supports real food security for the Hawaiian Islands. The Kohala Center, an independent, not-for-profit, and community-based center for research and education promotes food and energy self-reliance and ecosystem health. The University of Hawaii — College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources Organic Agriculture Working Group, and the Hawaii Organic Farmers Association (HOFA) also promote local organic food.

These efforts parallel a trend seen across the US mainland where community food organizations are growing and supplying not just food, but helping vulnerable populations build-in food security by taking back control over the local food system. Like Hawaii's food movement, these organizations are 'islands of good food and good community floating in a poisonous sea of corporate food. We are lucky to have them and they need to be supported to grow. But if we are to truly build a resilient national food system, these “islands” will have to become the norm, rather than the exception in our beleaguered food system.

Hydrolyzed vegetable protein is a flavor enhancer, similar in composition and tastiness to the much-maligned monosodium glutamate, that is seemingly unavoidable. Thanks to salmonella contamination in the HVP paste at Basic Food Flavors, Inc. in Las Vegas, the FDA has recalled every food containing the product, ranging from salty snacks to salad dressings to soup and gravy mixes. The list of recalled foods containing the product is still growing, and encompasses familiar brand names ranging from Walmart's Great Value brand to McCormick to Trader Joe's. Now we now get to find out exactly how complex our food supply is and how widely used an additive HVP is.

As of this writing, there are 94 specific products recalled.

Use of acetaminophen in pregnancy associated with increased asthma symptoms in children

First study to demonstrate association between asthma and acetaminophen is linked to gene involved in detoxification of foreign substances

February 4, 2010 — Children who were exposed to acetaminophen prenatally were more likely to have asthma symptoms at age five in a study of 300 African-American and Dominican Republic children living in New York City. Building on prior research showing an association between both prenatal and postnatal acetaminophen and asthma, this is the first study to demonstrate a direct link between asthma and an ability to detoxify foreign substances in the body. The findings were published this week in the journal Thorax.

The study, conducted by the Columbia Center for Children's Environmental Health at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, found that the relationship was stronger in children with a variant of a gene, glutathione S transferase, involved in detoxification of foreign substances. The variant is common among African-American and Hispanic populations. The results suggest that less efficient detoxification is a mechanism in the association between acetaminophen and asthma.

The researchers assessed the use of analgesics during pregnancy and found that 34 percent of mothers reported acetaminophen use during pregnancy, and 27 percent of children had wheeze, an asthma-related symptom. The children whose mothers had taken acetaminophen were more likely to wheeze, visit the emergency room for respiratory problems, and develop allergy symptoms, compared to those children whose mothers did not take acetaminophen. The risk increased with increasing number of days of prenatal acetaminophen use. The children in this study live in neighborhoods of New York City that have been the hardest hit by the asthma epidemic: Northern Manhattan and the South Bronx.

Acetaminophen use among children in the U.S. has increased substantially since the early 1980s and has become increasingly common among women during pregnancy so that most women in the U.S. take acetaminophen during pregnancy. This increase coincided with a doubling of the prevalence of asthma among children in the country between 1980 and 1995.

“These findings might provide an explanation for some of the increased asthma risk in minority communities and suggest caution in the use of acetaminophen in pregnancy,” says Matthew S. Perzanowski, PhD, assistant professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the Mailman School of Public Health.

Reasons for prenatal acetaminophen use vary, but in this study population the observed associations with headaches suggest pain management as likely; however, other host factors that caused mothers to take acetaminophen and also cause asthma may explain their association. While infection is one such potential confounder, the Mailman School researchers found no association between the reported use of antibiotics and acetaminophen, and adjustment for antibiotic use during pregnancy did not affect the results.

According to the researchers, the prevalence of current wheeze diminished as the children aged, from 40 percent at age one year to 25 percent, 17 percent and 27 percent at ages two, three, and five, respectively. However, the association between prenatal acetaminophen exposure and current wheeze strengthened as the children aged.

The Columbia Center for Children's Environmental Health study adjusted relative risks for sex, race/ethnicity, birth order, maternal asthma, maternal hardship, exposure to environmental tobacco smoke, antibiotic use and postnatal acetaminophen use.

In a similar study conducted in the UK, the frequency of acetaminophen use during pregnancy and the magnitude of association in the UK study were similar to that in New York City.

When the American food machine turns out a new salty treat, they turn to Jeremy Selwyn for approval. Tali Yaholom on one man’s decade-long odyssey to find the perfect snack.

Jeremy Selwyn’s passion is to find every single snack in America, no matter how obscure or bizarre, and then write about his reaction. Consider this past Monday: After discovering risotto-flavored potato chips manufactured by a relatively unknown company, New York Style, Selwyn brought a bag into his office and urged his co-workers to try some. “Everybody was like, ‘What the heck is that?’” he laughed, but “as it turned out, they were pretty good.” So the chips, described as rice crackers with a Doritos-like flavor will soon become the 4,423rd on Selwyn’s 10-year-old site, Taquitos.net, a compendium of snacks that sound like salty Willie Wonka concoctions: seaweed corn crackers, octopus-flavored potato chips and peanut butter and jelly popcorn, to name a few.

Snack manufacturers will defensively tweak their recipes to satisfy Selwyn’s criticisms.

The site started as a solution to a monotonous newspaper job in central Massachusetts, where Selwyn would pass time by buying creative-sounding snacks at a local convenience store. During this time, salt and vinegar- or ketchup-flavored potato chips were “somewhat of a novelty,” and Selwyn quickly became known as the guy who eats weird junk food at 8 in the morning, which turned out well for him, as his friends and colleagues soon began bringing exotic snacks for “the chip guy” to try out. A site was born, that now attracts about 30,000 snack-happy visitors a month, according to Quantcast.

What separates Taquitos.net—named for a Trader Joe’s offering and a Simpsons joke—from most other cult food blogs is everyman appeal, its creator’s eagerness to shove a herb-roasted anchovy-flavored potato chip down his throat. “For people who are adventurous, it’s fun to try different things,” Selwyn says. “It’s fun to see something you couldn’t imagine existed and then eat it.” Selwyn, who goes by “Chief Snacks Officer” when he’s not working his day job as a Web site developer in Cambridge, Massachusetts, finds his craziest-sounding nosh when travelling abroad (England introduced him to Cajun squirrel-flavored potato chips) or visiting Asian grocery stores in Chinatown (home to all things seafood). Snack manufacturers regularly send Selwyn complimentary cases of their newest products and, occasionally, will defensively tweak their recipes to satisfy Selwyn’s criticisms—such was the case of a certain caramel popcorn, which Selwyn complained left too much sugar on his hands.

• Watch: 12 Banned Super Bowl Ads Selwyn is careful not to brand himself as any sort of culinary expert, though his site reflects the national obsession with snacking in general, and extreme snacking in particular. “Personally, I have kind of no actual background in food preparation or food science,” he says. “I’m a terrible cook. I really just eat these things as an ordinary snacker and I’m surprised by the number of people who read my reviews who say, ‘You had that one right on,' which isn’t to say everyone agrees with me or I want everyone to agree with me, but I call it as I see it and I’m just aiming at ordinary snackers.”

There is a “sub-industry trying to crusade against snacking,” he adds, but “people are going to eat what they want to eat” and, regardless, “more and more people are willing to experiment.”

Plus, there’s room for the foodie elite to participate, since snack manufacturers often try recipes incorporating gourmet trends and exotic foreign foods. “It’s whatever the flavors are of the moment tend to get integrated into snacks, whether it’s some ethnic combination or a spice or a food like bacon,” adds Ed Levine, founder of Serious Eats. “When big snack food companies are fighting for shelf space, one way you battle for shelf space is by broadening your line.”

It was a few years ago when I was introduced to the wonder that is the Pio Pio sauce. A Peruvian restaurant in New York City, Pio Pio serves juicy, affordable rotisserie chicken. But it was the vibrant green dipping sauce that I became addicted to.

I interrogated the waitstaff at almost every Pio Pio location to know the contents of this spicy sauce. The only consistent answer? That no answer was the same.

Jalapeños and mayo. No, no, aji chiles, cilantro and oil. I had to face the reality that either no one knew what was in the sauce, the ingredients were top-secret, or both.

Light green, medium-hot, creamy, salty, tangy and oh-so-addictive, it seems that every Peruvian restaurant has its own secret recipe for this mysterious condiment. An internet search for “Peruvian sauce” tells the story of dozens of people anxious to know how to make the sauce for themselves. Helpful bloggers post their recipes on message boards.

One says the secret is a head of lettuce, one swears the sauce cannot be made without evaporated milk, and several point to Peruvian black mint as the key ingredient.

I tried many, many recipes to come close to the magic of Pio Pio's sauce, none of which hit the mark. Finally, I brought a container from the restaurant into work, hoping someone else could reverse-engineer the ingredients. My obsession, along with my frustration, was building, and I needed a slight break from the sauce that taunted me.

Chile Pepper Editor-in-Chief Laura Dankowski took on the challenge, blending my scattered notes from past trials, along with her own hunch of what she tasted. We decided both jalapeños and aji paste (usually found in the Mexican section of grocery stores) were a must, and Laura hit on the addition of cheese, which added the necessary touch of saltiness. It's not exact—but pretty darn close.

At Pio Pio, the dip garnishes rotisserie chicken, crunchy-fried seafood platters and salchipapa, an unusual but delicious combination of deep-fried potatoes and sliced hot dogs. But I use the sauce for anything in the place of salsa, whether topping a burger, garnishing a breakfast burrito, or spreading on a piece of fish.

And I'm just glad I can finally stop harassing the Pio Pio employees for the recipe and make it on my own.

Everyone gets sick once in a while. Itis expected. That's why they have sick time at job. That's why there are physician and insurance organizations. However here are a lot of general stuff to make sure you be in general perfect health. You should wash your hands. Sadly enough, not enough people do this. When taking the lavatory. Studies have been done and a shockingly low percentage of people wash their hands after taking the restroom or before meals.

I always tell you: Drink liquid. Liquid cures all ills. Deprivation of water is the guilty of many common ailments like dry skin and addition bloating. Eight cups of water is the minimum so make sure you're consuming at least that much. Think that fruits and vegetable juices count towards your daily dose of hydrating beverages. Sport. Sport does not have to mean hours on the treadmill sweating away to exhaustion. Exercise can be as easy as walking across the parking lot to the grocery store or doing housework. That's true! Vacuuming get off calories intake! The more active in general you are the more do sport youare getting. Consider getting a pedometer. Pedometer's have shown that men and women who wear pedometer's are more active than those who don't.

weight loss diets

When starting a weight loss diet, it is always important to have a positive outlook and to remain persistent. It's easy to become really excited when trying a new weight loss diet but it's even easier to give up at the first signs of defeat.

You might also feel inclined to dismiss a weight loss diet as ineffective if you are not seeing immediate results but one of the worst things you can do is give up too early when success is right around the corner.

Having the right mindset and staying positive is crucial if you are serious about losing weight. Negative thoughts can be extremely stressful on your body and can even end up causing you more harm than good. Losing weight can be a bumpy road but if you remain persistent and continue to have positive thoughts, you will start reaching your goals sooner than you think.

So what can you do to shift your attitude to a more positive one? You can begin right now by making a list of things that you are grateful for in your life. It might be that you are grateful for loving and caring friends or the wonderful life that you were given.

Begin right now to dwell on positive thoughts while you loosen the tense muscles in your body. Your body will immediately begin to feel much more relaxed and as a result, you will feel in a better mood.

Practice this daily as this exercise shifts your attention away from negative thoughts to positive thoughts. Just as equally important as having a positive outlook are goals.

Take a couple of minutes to write down your goals and what you want out of your weight loss diet. Instead of writing something like “I want to lose weight,” be more specific and say, “I want to lose 15 pounds in 2 months.”

By being specific, you have a goal that is measurable and that you believe is attainable. Be sure that your goal is realistic as you don't want to disappoint yourself too quickly if you don't reach your goal. Once you write your goals down, place it in different spots where you can see it every day so as to remind yourself of the goal you need to achieve.

With any type of weight loss plan, having a positive attitude and being proactive can mean the difference between whether you achieve your weight loss goals or not.

Best Weight Loss Pills Replacement - Kenko Diet Plums get FDA approved by Sukitan

The Atkins diet does not mean eat only simple foods or a narrow choice of foods. It means cut out the high-starch type foods. There are an awful lot of choices still left if you cut out the potatoes and rice. You could still conceivably eat dishes with 15 ingredients. Unless you mean the high-meat high-fat diet most people do when they say Atkins: a hunk of meat with a few spoonfuls of one vegetable? In which case, wouldn't it be more accurate to describe as a “high fat” not just “low carb” diet?

We really don't know why some people are hungry all the time despite trying every diet out there. I am one of them. I've done everything from South Beach to Raw Organic to the old-fashioned food pyramid the nutritionist tried to foist on me — they don't work long term! If you review the long-term studies for Atkins, check out what % of people relapsed? And the frustrating thing is that people who go on diets may end up gaining back a few pounds extra when the diet fails.

Why do some people stay thin while most of us struggle with weight? Other people are full after eating only a small amount. Some people can eat a large amount and just not gain.

There have been studies that have shown there are triggers in our modern diets which cause overeating. Some believe artificial sweeteners mess with metabolism and blood sugar, increasing hunger. Others believe eating people who crave endorphins can get them from eating “comfort” foods, and those foods become irresistible. Food additives and processing may also play a part in how well our body recognizes satiety. And with the typical American diet, almost everything has sugar or HFCS added. Even healthy foods such as sliced apples may be dosed in sugar to make them more appealing. Add to that our addiction to sugar sodas and the general lack of any sort of healthy food choices in school cafeterias, fastfood restaurants, or many convenience stores: it's no wonder why 30%+ adult Americans are overweight to obese.

The American food system as a whole needs to change. Even this idea of simpler foods sounds good, but good luck following this diet if you have to eat on the road or enjoy eating out socially.

Need more low-carb diet versus something else comparisons? You're in luck. A new study found that following a low-carb diet may be better for lowering blood pressure than taking an over-the-counter weight loss medication and sticking to a low-fat diet.

Both plans showed similar drops in weight and improvements in other health factors, but the low-carb diet came out ahead in lowering blood pressure. Researchers placed participants in two groups — one consisted of 57 people who ate a low-carbohydrate diet and were allowed to consume unlimited amounts of meat and eggs, but initially only 20 grams per day of carbohydrates (they could add a few extra grams if the cravings got too bad).

The other 65-person group was limited in the intake of fat per day — 30% or less of total calories, as well as restricted consumption of saturated fat (10% or less) and cholesterol (300 mg. or less). In addition the group took the over-the-counter weight loss drug orlistat. The study lasted for 48 weeks.

The low-carb group dropped an average of 5.9 points of systolic blood pressure (the top number that measures the heart's contractions) and 4.5 points on diastolic blood pressure (the bottom number measuring the heart at rest, between heartbeats). The other group dropped 1.5 points on systolic and 0.4 points on diastolic. More people in the low-carb group decreased their blood pressure medication.

On most other results the two groups were similar — the low-carb set lost about 9.5% of body weight while the medication/low-fat diet group lost about 8.5%, and cholesterol and trigylceride levels improved.

In the study, researchers said they thought the two groups would show similar drops in blood pressure since both lost about the same amount of weight, and because orlistat has been shown to slightly lower blood pressure. They speculate that the low-carb diet may have a diuretic effect, or that the lower serum insulin levels that occur with a low-carb diet could have an effect on sodium retention.

The study was published in the January 25th issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine.

But What About Senator Gillibrand's Baby Weight??

“Like every new mom, it takes time, it takes time, to get back in shape and be yourself again,” Gillibrand told the New York Daily News. And then she Revealed Her Diet Secrets!

You know how yesterday we suggested that, just maybe, the culture was a leetle too interested in strangers' “baby weight?” Like, more interested in “losing the weight” and “regaining the body” than, say, an upcoming primary battle? Well. No one stands corrected.

On the one hand, as long as we must prolong this absurd conversation, at least Gillibrand's comments on the subject are relatively wholesome. “Most of us are not Heidi Klum and Angelina Jolie who look great the next day - for me, it took a good year and a half to get off all my Henry weight.” (Henry is her baby. Elsewhere in the article she refers to her “Theo weight,” too. This is either better or worse than any alternative we've heard.) But, that said, the Senator still works out five mornings a week, runs and plays tennis.

The senator said she began focusing on her diet in August when she finished breast-feeding Henry. She eats fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and fish, aiming for roughly 1,200 calories a day. “I write down everything I eat,” she said.

Her goal, she says, is to “get back into the wardrobe she used before having her oldest child, Theo, 6.” For a woman who's achieved this level of public success, I'm guessing she can achieve this, too - if she wants. It's somewhat dispiriting that given a public platform, such a visible woman not merely plays into a post-weight hysteria which is frankly none of anyone's business and has even less to do with politics than Hollywood, but also subscribes to success-as-dress-size rather than general health and well-being. And calorie-counting, for my money, should be banned from print. We know people gain weight when they have babies; that's Nature. The amazing thing is that each instance of public gain and loss is still met with wonder and fascination. And that this piece will likely influence at least one voter.

Today, I received an email from: VIAGRA@registeredreseller.com,

Of course the 'registered reseller” was actually my own email address which had been “spoofed”. In case you don't know what 'spoofing” is, it is using your own email address as the sender so SPAM can get through your spam filters.

The email was a GIF, supposedly from WebMD, offering me Cialis, Viagra, and other types of medications at very low prices. But it wasn't from WebMD- they simply hijacked a reputable company's logo and used it.They even used WebMD's corporate office address to make the email look valid!

At the bottom of the email was a message saying I had subscribed as, (it gave my real email address), which, of course, I never had. They had simply harvested my address from somewhere. They even offered an “unsubscribe” link, but when I hovered my mouse over the link, it displayed http://cilahiyus.cn, which was only the URL of the scam.

The email I received originated from: ppp89-110-14-97.pppoe.avangarddsl.ru. The originating IP address was 89.110.14.97. I easily traced the origination to Russia.

As I am naturally suspicious of any email with a link in it, there is no way I would click it on. Instead, I simply copied the link and pasted it into my browser window, and came up with exactly what I knew I would- another “Canadian Pharmacy” web site.

THey call themselves the “#1 online drug company” in their banner, but I can tell you, from several years of tracking these crooks, they are anything BUT that!

I know the web site looks official, but don't be fooled by that.
There is no Canadian Pharmacy!
This is a bunch of criminals existing far beyond our borders, hiding out in countries where they can't be reached by American or Canadian law!

THE FACTS BEHIND “CANADIAN PHARMACY”

The URL in this particular email - http://cilahiyus.cn won't be found in any American “WHOIS” search. To do a “WHOIS” search of this site, you must go to http://ewhois.cnnic.cn/ , which is the registry lookup for domains ending in “cn”.

This is the information you will find there:

Domain Name: cilahiyus.cn
Registrant Name: (some Chinese characters)
Admin email: wz_727@yeah.net
Registrar: (more Chinese characters)
Name Server: ns1.fallleast.com
Name Server: ns2.fallleast.com
Name Server: ns3.fallleast.com
Name Server: ns3.6sd.ru
Name Server: ns4.6sd.ru

The registrant information for yeah.net is:

Registrant: Netease.com, inc.
8FL, Netease Building, No 16, KeYun Rd
ZhongShan Av, GuangZhou IT Harbor
Guangzhou, Guangdong 510665
China

In reality, the domain, http://cilahiyus.cn, is only one of several hundred other domain names, which these people use to promote “Canadian Pharmacy” .

THE “PITCH”

This outfit is really slick- nothing amateurish about it! It gives all appearances of being a “legitimate” online business, including a “Best Sellers” page,an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page, a “Contact Us” page, and even a “Report Spam” page, just to make themselves look good.

At the very bottom of the page they even list a telephone number (1-650-452-6975), which is supposedly a British Columbia phone number, but it is not! BC area codes are 250, 650, and 778. Area code 650 is assigned to the San Mateo Valley in California. Where this phone number actually connects to I'm not sure, but I wasn't about to get a phone bill for some international phone call, so I didn't check it out.

At the top of every “Canadian Pharmacy” website is an offer for 4 free Viagra pills with every order. Viagra's active ingredient is sildenafil, which can be very dangerous, if taken with nitrate-type drugs, because it can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, resulting in kidney failure, stroke, heart attack, and death. That's why all legitimate ads for any type of potency drug insist you talk to your doctor first, and tell him about any other drugs you are taking.

But even worse than Viagra, the web site also offers the following drugs:

Accutane
Clomid
Prednisone
Doxycycline
Zithromax
Amoxil
Alli
Strattera
Lasix
Nexium
Cipro
Lipitor
Nolvadex

All of which require a prescription in the USA.

If these people are really selling any of these products, they are criminals of the worst sort! NO pharmacist in his right mind would sell anyone any of these drugs without a written prescription! He would have his license revoked in a heartbeat for doing so. Nor would any reputable physician allow these drugs to be dispensed without knowing who they were going to, what they were being taken for, and the patient's general condition.

If they really are selling drugs, they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of international law!

THE REASON BEHIND IT ALL

I've given you a lot of detail, because I want you to understand this is NOT a legitimate operation! If you ordered anything from them, chances are you would receive inferior products at best, and highly dangerous products at worst- if you received anything at all! But that's not the reason this outfit exists.

The whole idea behind the Canadian Pharmacy scam is to get your personal information!
They are after your credit cards and bank accounts!
If you fill out an “order” at Canadian Pharmacy, they will ask for your name, address, telephone number, credit card number, expiration date, and the security code on the back of the card.

That's all the information they need to clean you out! And, believe me, they will! They can access your bank account so quickly, it could be emptied before you leave their order page!

Any reputable online business puts their shopping cart on a secure server. You can identify this because it always starts with “https” (the “s” means secure). There will also always be a little lock at the bottom right hand corner of the page, just above the task bar. Here's the “Canadian Pharmacy” shopping cart URL: http://cilahiyus.cn./cart.php - just a php page- no security of any kind.

The reason behind this is simple- secure pages are always encrypted, making it impossible to steal the information. Any page that isn't secure is up for grabs! If it isn't encrypted, the information is out there for anybody to steal. And steal it they will!

I've given you quite a bit of technical information about the Canadian Pharmacy scam, because you need to know they pose as a real legitimate business! But it isn't technical information you should be concerned about. You should be concerned about avoiding these people like the plague! Don't go anywhere near them! Don't go to their web site! Don't even click on the link in any email you get from them! The email could contain malaware that would reveal your IP address, and from it, they can learn all kinds of information about you, so you might become a victim and not even know it!

These criminals have been running this scam for several years, and stealing untold millions of dollars doing it.
They operate from China and Russia, and are totally without morals or scruples! They are after only one thing- your money! They will use any means to get it! They could care less about whether it ruins you or not.
They are heartless professional criminals.

But, if we simply refuse to open their email, or go to their web site, we have a chance of eventually putting a stop to them.

Don't fall for this scam!
Don't be taken in by the chance to get drugs for bargain prices, even if you need them! If you are short on cash, there are agencies in your city that can help you pay for your medications. It's far better to go to them, and be safe, than try to get them on the cheap from “Canadian Pharmacy”. Believe me, what you thought was a “bargain” may turn out to be the worst mistake you ever made!

For your own sake, stay away from anything labeled Canadian Pharmacy!

Zovirax

In this article we will look at a few different types of medicinal remedies that are available and are considered to be the best cold sore treatment that is available today to acheive a cold sore cure.

1. Viroxyn

This is a new approach in helping to treat herpes and does not rely on the patient taking the medicine internally. It has been designed to specifically attack and disrupt the lipid coat of virus (cold sore) and is best described as being a germicide rather than the normal anti-viral treatment. Many say this is the best cold sore treatment on the market.

As it is a virucide you apply it directly to the lesion (cold sore) and this will then kill the virus. This type of treatment works faster than many of the other types of drugs available which have to work their way through your stomach into the bloodstream and which are then able to deal with the sores. They will only interefere with the virus's reproduction which has created the cold sores in the first place.

Unlike the other treatments that are available which will interrupt the genetic code of herpes and eventually stop the virus from growing, Viroxyn strips the lipid coating off the virus and then kills it when it comes into contact with an affected area. This is why some call it a cold sore cure.

2. Zovirax or Acyclovir

This is taken as an episodic treatment and can reduce the severity of the outbreak, as well as shorten its duration . It can also shorten the time during which the herpes virus is detected on the skin's surface in a similar way to Viroxyn.

Because it is an episodic treatment it should be taken 5 times a day and can also be used as a suppressive treatment which will help to reduce the number of cold sore outbreaks a person has. If you wish to use it as a suppressive treatment, you will need to take 2 tablets 3 or 4 times a day . However, it is best to speak to your doctor to get the specific dosage in order to treat the cold sores correctly. This medication has it's own defenders claiming it as the best cold sore treatment on the market.

However with Zovirax there are a couple of common side effects which you may suffer from and these include nausea and diarrhea. When you consider a cold sore cure, you must keep in mind the side effects as you make an evaluation.

We have provided details on a couple cold sore treatments that available, but it is up to you to research both natural and prescription treatments and use a plan that you feel comfortable with in your search for a cold sore cure. Some people are more comfortable with herbal and natural formulas which can be found in health food stores as well as on the internet.
