This was an moving movie, which is more than I can say for some other movies that accept rave reviews. I guess everyone sees things differently, therefore, build different opinions. Compared to Shaft of the past, this one doesn’t stack up, but I don’t deem the intent was to compare.

Answer to L. Gontzes comment…I would rob the reason for there not being a nude scene with the pretty (not so pleasing in this film) Vanessa Williams would have something to do with the fact that she was very grand pregnant during filming! gape they tried not to shoot any shots of her from the waist down?

N-E-Wayz…this film had several different elements to appeal to a diverse audiences. I would recommend to others.

This is the second posting of my review. My first review was accidently given **. I deleted and reposted, in order to hold the outrageous rating from affecting the overall average……..

A racially motivated, cold-blooded killing starts the wheels turning in the hard-hitting, action-packed “Shaft,” directed by John Singleton. When a young sad man is killed outside of a restaurant by the son of wealthy businessman, NYPD cop John Shaft (Samuel L. Jackson) takes him down; but the kid, Wade, (Christian Bale), gets bail, then proceeds to skip to Switzerland for the next two years. Meanwhile, the only seek to the assassinate, a waitress named Diane (Toni Collette), disappears. When Shaft gets a tip that Wade is coming serve to town, he makes it his business to sight that justice is done, and meets him at the airport. When Wade gets bail again, Shaft resigns from the force, to win the matter into his enjoy hands, and to do it on his contain terms. First, he has to rep Diane; without her, they have no case. During his pursuit, he runs afoul of drug lord Peoples Hernandez (Jeffrey Wright), whom Wade has hired to slay Diane. Making things even more difficult for Shaft are two noxious cops (Dan Hedaya, Ruben Santiago-Hudson), who are in league with Peoples. But Wade and Peoples soon score out they have their hands stout dealing with Shaft, who is backed in his play by Uncle John (Richard Roundtree), and Carmen (Vanessa Williams), another of NYPD’s finest. Jackson is outstanding as Shaft, a role that it seems he was born to play. He plays Shaft as one icy, in-your-face, intimidating you-know-what; savvy and daring. This is one guy you do not want to procure on the unfavorable side of. He’s got the attitude, the manner, the whole package, and it all adds up to total credibility. Bale, as well, is pleasant as Wade, to whom he lends a subtle, almost psychotic bravura, which aptly demonstrates his versatility as an actor. Another important performance is turned in by Wright, who brings impartial enough menace to Peoples, without overplaying a role that would’ve been easy to occupy over the top. A lot of credit has to go to John Singleton, who doesn’t miss a beat here. He knows this territory, and it shows; he captures the language, rhythms, and mood of the environment with which he’s dealing perfectly, and keeps it all curious correct along. Collette does well with her Diane, a pivotal, but rather minor character. She doesn’t have a lot of hide time, but makes the most of it when she’s on; her dread, and the dismay wrought of her residence, is palpable. The supporting cast includes Busta Rhymes (Rosen), Josef Summer (Fleming), and Philip Bosch (Mr. Wade) . There’s something satisfying about watching Shaft do his thing; a self-assuredness and lack of political correctness he employees in the pursuit of proper justice that is refreshing to search for. Most importantly, “Shaft” delivers on it’s promise of action, and plenty of it, and with the added support of having myth enough to assist it. Singleton and Jackson definitely recount the goods in this one, and of course there’s the familiar Isaac Hayes theme on hand to underscore the proceedings, and it’s every bit as effective now as it was in the recent version. If you want to acquire the adrenalin pumping, check this one out. I guarantee you’ll be satisfied you did.

My niece (age 13) and a lot of other random anime fans that I know, would go on and on about how they loved this particular anime, so I understanding I would peer it to observe what in the world they were talking about.

This series reminded me a lot of the Tenchi Muyo series where there honest happens to be one boy that all these women seem to be gravitating to, although in this series there is impartial happens to be a bit more nudity and a lot more blood.

With that being said, I found the underlying epic itself very endearing of how this outcast who was subjected to brutal teasing fair for being different by her peers was pushed to the edge and when she finally found someone who didn’t study her as “different” but “icy” she ended up destroying their friendship by her bear jealous nature.

In short, this was an appealing memoir and worth watching, the ending though leaves you wanting more, which is really my only jam with the series. It unprejudiced seems like it was unfinished.

Hey all. I bought this edition recently, and was comely disappointed with the packaging. The outside box is sturdy enough, but the inside discs are all kept on one spindle, rather than in separate cases or separate disc holders. While this isn’t definitely going to mess the discs up, I contain it does increase the possibility of distress happening. If this type of packaging bothers you, then I’d suggest going with one of the previous editions.

Many have accused John Waters of kissing up to the mainstream for the past decade or so, starting with “Scream Baby” and “Hairspray,” with their less than repugnant thought of the world. Where, they cried, is the delightfully perverse brain that gave us “Pink Flamingos? ”

Buy,Download, Or Stream A Dirty Shame! Click Here

Be careful what you wish for, because “A Dirty Shame” will bring it all wait on home. Perfectly cast, brilliantly acted and a total grossfest, this is the best and most outragous movie Waters has done since, well, “Female Worry.” Tracy Ullman and Chris Isaak play the Sticklers, a pair of “neuters” who are completely against all things sexual. A chance accident makes Ullman a sex-addict to the church of Johnny Knoxville (who finally proves himself a movie star here) and his merry band of perverts. If there’s a fetish that can be exploited or made disgusting, you’ll peruse it here.

There are so many laugh out loud sexploits here, that I can’t even originate to record them. You’ll be wincing as you laugh, as the moments run in the movie from droll — to weirder and amusing — to beyond the bizarre. You’ll hear Tracy Ullman characterize oral behavior in so many ways that you’ll lose track. You’ll seek what a “gain” is. You’ll ogle Chris Isaak perceive so salaciously that you’ll wonder what directions were being given slow the camera. And you’ll hear so many hysterical 50’s and 60’s sexually oriented novelty songs that you’ll be looking for the soundtrack by the raze of the week.

Buy,Download, Or Stream A Dirty Shame! Click Here

A word of warning though. If you are in the least bit prudish, then “A Dirty Shame” will have you fleeing the movie in mortal apprehension. Now if THAT sounds like the kind of NC-17 rated 90 minutes of comedy that would delight you, then you need a runt “Shame” in your life.

Being an extra on this hysterical film was a accurate barrel of monkeys. Receiving direction from one of the most famous cult directors of all-time was quite an experience. A Dirty Shame is yet another crooked Waters’ installment from his bright and unbelievably retarded mind. Sex addicts hurry rampant in Hamilton,

a NE Baltimore neighborhood and Johnny Knoxville is the ringleader. This film addresses such sexual fetishes never before spoke of in any previous film. Of course John’s most modern films lack the angst of his 70’s films, but the fact is

that was nearly 30 years ago and him and his entourage are blueprint past the age of youth rebellion. This is clearly the most substandard film Mr. Waters’ has made since Desperate Living in 1977. Anyone who has been wise to his 70’s films will absolutely

enjoy this recount. Folks who are ignorant to Waters’ pictures

or those who have never seen one should not leer this film without first viewing at least Pink Flamingos(1972) or Female Peril(1974) . A Waters’ film you plan because OF HIS name. NOT the stars. He is the puppeteer, and they are his marionettes. His unusual tango with mainstream cinema and theatre is all well and pleasurable but this film proves once again what John Waters’ is and will always be.

It’s a graceful yet serene search for into the lives of girls who are cyborg assassins. The interactions between them in their every day lives and the relationships they have with their brothers/trainers. It’s very different.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Gunslinger Girl: Complete Box Set! Click Here

Art style: realistic, mediate Ghost in the Shell. no oversized or exaggerated expressions/body parts. A lot of attention to details (except in like the first scene there is a moment where you go “nah . . .”) .

Setting: recent, site in Italy.

Violence level: high. Shows children shooting guns and killing people. The violent scenes do not play an integral fraction of the epic. Has blood.

Theme: what is it to be normal?

Buy,Download, Or Stream Gunslinger Girl: Complete Box Set! Click Here

Pros: Realistic themes with a deep exploration of the character’s emotions, motivations and reactions. How well would you survive being a tiny girl “forced” to shoot guns and raze people? Could you be normal?

Cons: Action wise, suspense wise, position twisting wise, mysterious quiz answering wise . . . it fails to thunder. It is subdued and level-headed, a sort of “tranquil” anime without a expansive hook or a graceful finale. It leaves you with many questions. This anime impartial “IS,” Ivan Denisovich style even.

Yeah, so girls with guns. The assist read something about them being cyborgs from a secret agency. Ok, so then a cliched set entered my mind: they are generally restful, innocent looking girls that can kick some major butt, and then there’ll be a expansive conspiracy with their agency and they ruin up having to fight to explore the truth and to execute it out alive.

Boy, that was Cross! (in a generous intention) And that doesn’t give away the region. Why? Because there really isn’t a region. There is no main enemy, no great conspiracy, no destroy just in the entire three disks. There is NO unifying force that the girls are united against . . . tagible force that is.

The series is about these girls who were terminal patients or victims. They were restored succor to life through bioengineering, cybernetics and a lot of weapons training . . . and they were made into assassins. However, the series does not focus on their missions, the action or the combat. In fact, such scenes are kinda there because they have to be. Rather, the drive of the series is the interaction between the girls and between the girl and their handler, or “brother.” Each handler is different with his girl, treating her differently, conditioning them differently. It’s this relationship between the young girl and her handler that makes the series fade. Each episode is a puny more about the girl and how she and her handler interact.

[Disk 1]

The first DVD introduces the main characters in 5 episodes (though it does not introduce Angelica to a grand range, objective mentions her name) . The first two episodes are hard to follow as they jump assist and forth between scenes happening at different times, or the same scene again from another light or the same scene from another character’s perspective. It basically introduces Henrietta, Rico, Triela and Claes, in that order. I ended the first DVD feeling very generous about it, having the protagonists’ introductions out of the plot, and feeling as if the action was about to buy up a lot.

[Disk 2]

The second DVD did not do that . . . but neither did it disappoint. It is further development about the girls and their handlers. It has a minute more action, but not by a sizable deal. We salvage introduced to the last two characters and their handlers: Angelica and Marco, Elsa and Lauro. The first half of the DVD deals with RF bombers in which the main three fratello are fervent. Next is a sight at Rico. The last two episodes deal with the last two girls introduced, and the stark differences between the fratello of Elsa and Lauro and of Henrietta and Jose.

[Disk 3]

It’s not a complicated DVD to recognize because it doesn’t really DO anything spectacular, though it starts off with a surprise. The first two episodes focus on Henrietta and Jose as they are on “vacation” after an incident. The latter two episdoes have a focus partly on Angelica. The last episode is about all the girls. In the destroy of the DVD it fair finally develops the girls. It would not be a spoiler to say that the ending is rather subdued. The ending is not one of sizable climax or astonishing revelation; it unbiased simply is, realistically and tenderly. It doesn’t acknowledge many of the questions you might have. In fact it leaves you sort of wanting and wishing that there were more. For some, it could easily leave you feeling like you’ve wasted your money.

[Over all]

Basically . . . it’s 13 episodes of getting to know these girls. Yes, they are cyborg assassins working for a secret government agency in Italy, but the focus is not on the action, not on the missions or the secrecy or the conspiracies or the shadow of their pasts coming succor to haunt them. It is about their exhibit lives, how they are handling it, how precise they actually are and what kind of lives they live. It really is sharp, though i’d honestly have to say that it could really be tedious. I’m very fervent in stories and character interactions. The idea of the anime is about the girls’ relationships with each other and their handlers, not about their action sequences. Therefore, it can easily leave someone with many questions, a sense of disatisfaction or worse. As well, it has a smaller amount of dialogue than most other anime. The moments of silence reminded me of that sad moment in Evangelion in the elevator. Though there are action sequences, they seem to only be there to reinforce something about the relationships between the girls and their handlers.

Finally, I liked the anime. I conception it was very different from what I originally percieved it to be, and so it was a nice surprise later on as I got to understand what it was about. I worship the characters and could sympathize with them. It is definitely not an action anime and I can’t really believe of any other anime to compare it to. Perhaps best compared to Now and Then, Here and There.

I would recommend this to people who like characters, because that’s honestly what it’s all about. It is very subdued, realistic and without fair about any place twists. If you’re a fan of great action or comedy, like most other anime out there, and not inaugurate to watching Ghost in the Shell without the action sequences, then I would not recommend this. I would not recommend it to children. It’s rather conventional in its topics, not to the point of sexually veteran or violently customary, unprejudiced that the concepts and ideas are complex, requiring the ability to characterize to the characters somewhat and understand their individual situations. This is not going to be your typical anime. It’s calm for the most fragment and it’s collected for the most fragment.

What this anime really needs is a better title.

“[I hated them at first, half carbon and fiber optics. But when you find to know them they're objective normal limited girls, running the gambit of emotions, seeking approval, unsure of their adolescent feelings . . . and can't cook worth a darn.]”

It’s been pointed out already that Gunslinger Girl is a highly atypical anime. This isn’t only because of its overall tone (a number of incandescent, pleased, high-energy titles like Care For Hina, Fruits Basket and Mahoromatic tend to overshadow more serious work) or its visual and fable style (whereas many titles earn utilize of animation to manufacture exaggerated poses, expressions and action sequences, Gunslinger Girl could be filmed live with miniature alteration) but because it is, purely and simply, a work of art–it has a coherency of style, theme and purpose that very few other titlesa can match. With no petite to series that are, first and foremost, consuming (like the aforemnentioned Like Hina), Gunslinger Girl attempts to do something mighty more difficult than entertain, and succeeds.

If that sounds obtuse: GG has more in popular with most enormous films and novels than with other anime series. Even those that are dramatic and violent generally rely on visceral thrills, and the few, like Neon Gensis Evangelion and Serial Experiment Lain, that seem to have a “higher” artistic purpose, often drop short in the final reckoning (does anybody really understand these two titles? ) .

Visually, GG is extremely simple. The majority of the characters are either built on the model of a figure-less prepubescent girl or a middle-aged man in a suit, and except for the sequences of violence (which, it should be noticed, are rarer than it might at first seem) many shots are smooth of characters standing around and talking in lifeless uninflected voices. (Side note: There is some hysterical audio commentary on these discs. On one of them, one of the insist actors playing a handler says to another: “Yo, I mediate we should talk like this in valid life. [gruff, flat] “Hey, I believe we should go out for a pizza. How does that sound? “”Roger, copy that.”) The animation is level-headed of a very high quality in the action sequences, but the attention is drawn away from the visuals and to the record.

Hopefully there’s no need to restate the series’ presence. What should be stated, though, is that the series is not about violence, or social problems, but overwhelmingly about esteem. The basic dread or the premise–that microscopic girls are brainwashed and forced to commit political murders–is almost taken for granted by the final episode; the blueprint that people treat each other and their affections are of noteworthy greater importance, and ultimately far more horrifying. Violence is a visceral expression of wounded human emotions, and it’s no accident that the series is soundtracked by the sublimely depressing “Despise” (The Delgados) –songs about longing and loneliness, but on examination, perfectly worthy to this world.

All this is impartial to say that Gunslinger Girl should be taken for what it is: a singular work with a specific style and a dogmatic theme. It has very minute in the diagram of entertainment (although there are a few droll moments), sexiness, violent kicks or uplifting morals about how, if you possess in yourself, you can accept into Tokyo U. It may not be to everyone’s taste, but I would highly recommend it both to anime fans and also to those who might never search for another anime title, but want to scrutinize something of chilling, heartbreaking emotional power.

Leave it to John Landis to aid craft one of the best episodes in Showtime’s Masters of Apprehension series. Landis, better known more for his comedies Animal House and Blues Brothers, as well as his dread classic An American Werewolf in London (and featuring a mountainous in-joke as well), co-writes and directs this campy and gorey story of a burned out detective (Dream On’s Brian Benben) discovering a series of mutilated bodies that all expired during arousal and were apparently trampled to death. Soon enough, he and a patrolman (Anthony Griffith) are on the walk of a well-organized sexy Native American woman (frequently topless newcomer Cinthia Moura) who is half deer. Featuring plenty of substantial humor and some horrible effects, Deer Woman is undoubtadly one of the most fun entries in the otherwise grim Masters of Fright. Keeping it’s tongue firmly in cheek, Deer Woman illustrates worthy of what Landis has always done best: mixing thrills and laughs to a extraordinary conclude. All in all, if you’re looking for a more light hearted, but nonetheless thrilling, entry in the Masters of Awe series, notice no further.

I have always loved John Landis. His contributions to the panic genre have been minimal, but honest from those few films(American Werewolf specifically, though Innocent Blood was very icy and very underrated), Landis definitely earns the “Master Of Scare” title. Hell, he’s stunning powerful a household name for dismay fans based on the strength of Werewolf alone. It makes you wish he had made more fright films. Well, the Masters Of Fear series wisely chose him for one of their episodes, and we finally win another Landis alarm offering. While most of the series’ episodes tone down humor and go for the throat, Landis lightens things up a bit, and who could inquire anything else from him? As for record, it’s another human/beast theme, but this time digging into Native American mythology for it’s monster. This is an uncommon, yet very frosty view. Basically it’s a ghostlike woman from Native American folklore that’s fall dumb pleasing, half deer, seductive and deadly. This mythical figure is set aside into the original and logical thinking world where, realistically, her killings are investigated by police and forensic science. Landis has comedy is his veins, so the film is tubby of clever quips and oddball characters. It also manages some moments of suspense and has a bit of graphic gore thrown in to remind us that this is indeed a dismay series. The featurettes are a actual treat. Landis has always been an intriguing interviewee. Very energetic, comical, truthful and not shy to snort. He seems like a helluva fun guy to hang out with. He’s serious about what he does, yet never takes himself too seriously. His philosophy on scare and comedy and the mixing of the two is wearisome on. He truly knows how to invent a ridiculous idea(he admits himself that the Deer Woman thing is downright comic) work by being serious when it’s called for and schlocking it up when famous. He also makes a very superior point about how supernatural themes don’t always need an explanation for why they’re happening-that when dealing with wonderful ideas, there isn’t a need to do so distinguished explaining(I wish Hollywood directors would select stamp of that) . This applies in Deer Woman, coz she objective is what she is, and never once do we figure out why she kills guys. And anyway, who cares why? We may never discover another corpulent length awe film from Landis, but this short film is a accurate treat for those of us who want a limited taste again of what it was like the first time you saw American Werewolf and became a John Landis fan. Gigantic stuff.

I am going to sustain this short and sweet. The series is astounding, I loved every petite of it. So when they decided to release in the US finally I rushed out an bought it. BUT, It is the worst translation and narrate acting I have ever heard. The dubbed version is sorrowful, and I will never listen to that again. TokyoPOP if you ever eye this review, earn your act together, it was inappropriate, halt to the unique anime, do not execute up your contain garbage storyline!!! Seek the series, but effect distinct to do it subtitled, do not listen to the garbage that Tokyopop did.

This movie/series is for car racing fans out there. If you are not into racing, it will be monotonous for you and the movie will seem predicable. The main point of the movie is that no one expects a young guy driving an ragged car could out race/battle all/most the current and HIGH POWER engine car. Each race/battle ready pump you up with euro/dance music on Japanese audio track (Rather than Hip-Hop on English dub track) and raises a unique trick in racing strategies that we can learn from it (Of course we are not expressionless enough to do it in loyal life) . The “Trick-Out” version is unbiased adding more camera angles during the battles. It displays serveral angles in one hide during difting pick state.

This is the first stage of the fourth stages of the entire series…. which are not over yet. “Stage 1″ have 26 episodes. I judge Tokyopop will continuing using the battle numberings system until the series is over.

“Stage 2″ has 13 episodes - Meet a fresh team name Evolution (Their cars are Mitsubishi) . Tak starting to run at opponents’ courts more often now. Tak got a unusual Turbo Charge engine. Also, a worship chronicle of Tak And Natsuki continues. Iggy do friend with a unique out of town girl. Tak bag out the unlit secret that Natsuki has been hidden from him.

EXTRA STAGE - 3 Acts (OVAs) talk about maya and her friend remove a ski mosey on the mounting where maya’s friend try to spot her up with a guy so that she could forget the other guy. This stage seem tumble between stage 2 and 3.

“Stage 3″ is the movie. Continuing a esteem anecdote between Tak and Natsuki, also some battles catch state. Ry ask Tak to join his original team called “Project D” and hope to conquer all the mountains in Japan

“Stage 4 (Project D) ” is being air on Japan just now and DVD vol./round 1 - 4, which absorb 2 episodes on each round/volume are out. Tak will be the downhill and K.T will be the uphill specialist for this project. Round/Vol. 1, Tak battle against red Miata. Stage 4 I heard has 14 episodes and there might be “Stage 5″ and is going to be a movie. I can’t until next year to rep “Stage 4″ DVD because I don’t want to acquire volume by volume, hopefully they will establish all the episodes into one package.

BATTLES STAGE - Fair the recap/short version of all the three stages’ battles acquire status (Not all battles) . There are about 15 battles recap. NOTHING MORE! This stage is for someone unbiased want to gawk the battles again without watching the whole movie or skip it to where the battle originate.

I would recommend everyone to notice the Japanese dialog track because the character voices and the music are ways better than the dub version. If you have to ogle the dub version, switch over to Japan version whenever they race/battle. You will know what I mean the differences in car audio sound and music from the dub version.

Natsuki has a shadowy secret and you guys will know in “Stage 2″ series.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is available for streaming or downloading.

Click Here to Stream or Download Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

“The Chamber of Secrets” fresh in the Harry Potter series is generally considered the weakest of J. K. Rowling’s books - it does not have the happy discovery of “Philosopher’s Stone”, the shadowy twists of “Prisioner of Azkaban” or the record nature of “Goblet of Fire”, but is simply a very generous sage. However, I predict its relative simplicity will create “Chamber of Secrets” the most successful book-to-movie translation in the series, as it is undoubtably better than the first movie, and it will be a daunting task for film-makers to tackle the intricate region lines of book three and the collosal book four.

Like all the books, “Chamber” begins midway through the summer as Harry’s twelfth birthday is nearing, and again he faces a rather irascible one in the company of his sinful uncle, aunt and cousin. Excitement is already on the travel however, as when Harry enters his bedroom the house elf Dobby is waiting for him, who warns him that under no circumstances is he to return to Hogwarts, where a grand inconvenience is waiting for him.

But return he does, after being rescued from his family by the Weasley family and the now-famous flying blue Ford Angelia, and indeed finds what Dobby promised - something is stalking the halls of Hogwarts, putting all the students in grand peril. Taking it upon himself to establish his beloved home Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione survey out the clues, and fetch themselves facing a poor inferior. In a memoir filled with giant spiders, savage willow trees, magical swords, disembodied voices, mysterious diaries, shapely phoenixes, flying cars and Quidditch matches, the action and excitement doesn’t let up until the ending credits.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! Click Here

Once again Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson return as the three main protagonists, and I’m cheerful to say that while their acting was a microscopic awkward in the first movie (understandable for newcomers) they’ve mellowed out and are distinguished more natural with their characters and each other. Under-rated actor Tom Felton is again wickedly qualified, and Maggie Smith (McGonagall), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) and Alan Rickman (Snape) roll out sparkling performances. Unfortunatly I can’t say the same for Richard Harris - Dumbledore in my mind is an elderly yet inviting and energetic man, yet here I was terrified he was going to kneel over any second.

The best piece of any sequel in a series is the myraid of original characters to witness, including the afore mentioned Dobby, the mysterious and substandard Tom Riddle, the narcissic Gilderoy Lockhart (played with substantial pizzazz by Kenneth Branaugh), and pompous Cornelius Fudge, and more of the Weasley family - more from Julie Walters as Molly Weasley, an introduction to Arthur Weasley, and from George, Fred and (especially) Ginny.

Three performances stick out though: Lucius Malfoy was gigantic - frigid, quiet and splendid, this guy unbiased *oozed* rank charm, Moaning Myrtle, with her high-pitched sobs and shrieks was an unexpected surprise and Colin Creevy, the forerunner to Book Four’s reporter Rita Skeeter and J. K. Rowling’s dig at the media was a runt, but distinguished gem, and I admire that split-second scene of awe on his face as the runaway Buldger hurtles towards him!

Finally the sets, costumes and props are elegant, but the special effects are only so-so. The Quidditch game (again more visually keen than any written legend) is very pleasant, as is the ‘monster in the chamber’, but the phoenix, spiders and Dobby could have old-fashioned some tweaking.

All in all, a fun, fascinating, colourful, sometimes-scary, and faithful adaptation to a beloved book, that (along with the Two Towers) brought 2002 to a fantasy-filled climax in the movie industry.

I’m a senior citizen who loves Harry Potter. I have read the first 3 books and will select “The Goblet of Fire” on books on tape.

I won’t go into the situation. Suffice it to say it follows the book. The acting was astounding by our 3 main stars. There is not enough of Alan Rickman, a truly extraordinary actor. Kenneth Branagh was so-so and I don’t know the man who played Lucious Malfoy but he was perfect. I hated him in “The Patriot” and hated him even more here. Richard Harris will be sorely missed. What a exquisite performance for his last film.

I never realized that the film was 2 3/4 hours. The time flew. The special effects are outstanding.

I liked the further character development. You peep what a improbable and loving family Ron Weesley comes from. You gain out why Hagrid is the plan he is. You also fetch to realzie why Draco Malfoy is the plan he is when you score to watch the father.

There was so remarkable to glance. So grand to delight in.
For the first movie, I saw the movie first and then read the book. For this fable, I read the book first and then saw the movie. Either blueprint, I was thrilled with both movies.
I can’t thunder you how great I’m looking forward the the third movie.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to explore “The Chamber of Secrets”, please go and gawk it. It’s a treat for the eyes, mind and soul.

I unprejudiced saw this movie tonight(opening night) and I opinion it was the best action movie I have seen at the movie theater this year. The myth is about a Navy officer(Owen Wilson) who is about to conclude the Navy due to the lack of excitement and the fact that there are wars going on so he only gets to go out in a plane and then reach accurate befriend. But when the Navy commander(Gene Hackman) sends him out on another mission, Wilson travels into a Bosnia war immoral where his plane is shot down. After wilson and his partner land, the Bosnians fetch his partner and ruin him, leaving Wilson all alone to defend himslef and try to quit alive leisurely enemy lines. Every scene has something enchanting heppening. There are gargantuan twists and the situation is unbiased perfect for a war/action movie. If you are looking for a friendly action-packed war-type movie, Leisurely Enemy Lines is the best one to salvage.

An airman (Owen Wilson) Lt. Burnett, has unprejudiced do in his inquire of to leave the service, because he is bored doing routine flights over Bosnia Serbia. On his next flight he makes a base turn and ends ups capturing some digital camera footage that the dreadful guys don’t want seen. So they fire heat seeking missiles at his jet and he ejects before it crashes. That’s attractive considerable what you bag from the trailers.

Gene Hackman plays an Admiral who is a Battle Group Commander of an aircraft carrier. He has to deal with a yo-yo higher up admiral who is willing to sacrifice Burnett for the sake of the fragile treaty. But the poor guys, who are trying to hunt Burnett down are lying through their teeth to the peace keepers, mercilessly end his copilot and commence chasing the surviving downed airman..

The legend keeps a right trudge that maintains interest throughout the film(…) There are a few yards of experimental footage, where the camera shots are really jagged and bouncing. We didn’t like it. It didn’t seem to do anything except pull you out of the epic and that’s usually not a estimable thing. Of course it may have been that we arrived at the theater unprejudiced in time and had to seize a seat in the third row. That was not a terrible heed, since the theater was filled.

My 95 year faded Dad said he was going to glance either this film or Peer Games. I suggested this one. I liked Observe Games better. It was smarter and a bit more complex. But this one, with it’s more affirm situation, without the flashbacks of Sight games, will be easier to follow. This film is also better for kids. Although there is enough war-oriented violence, it has no momentary flashes of nudity, which slay some otherwise kindly films for kids (in my understanding as a parent of an 11 year mature.)

Throughout the movie I was also reminded of the airman who got caught slow enemy lines for about a week, a few years ago. Apparently, this is not his chronicle, but it added an lively dimension to consider about how there must have been some similarities between his experience and this movie. I had greater respect for him.

This was an luscious movie– a gracious evening out– but it was not a masterpiece. That’s why I give it 4 stars.

A nice return to fine Barbie movies. This is (loosely) based on the fairy anecdote of the 12 dancing princesses. Rewritten and remodelled for a Barbie-style ballet movie.

Genivieve, however, discovers a secret magical kingdom below the floor of their bedroom where the princesses can elope at night and dance the night away until morning. They have their dancing shoes from Eric, the Cobbler who also happens to be extremely handsome and nice - and not a tiny in worship with Genivieve. It is a shapely movie, there is lots of dancing which is beautifully done given there are twelve characters it is easy to manufacture nice chorus lines etc. 3 are dinky Kelly sized girls, there are 2 teenagers and the other 7 are adult sized. There could be some confusion, luckily they are named alphabetically from A to L according to age - unfortunately many have very un=princessy names like Lacey, Hadley and Courtenay.

The animation is handsome although there is an unique share of oddity in the filming. For some reason reach the destroy when Genivieve is luring Desmond away from his post she seems to go out of focus slightly, it might be my particular player.

There are some nice extra features, the making of the movie is sterling and my children were fascinated by it.

I really like the toning down of colours. The castle and environs looked colourful without the overwhelming brightness of some of the earlier movies.

Overall this is a tall fun movie which my children have enjoyed a number of times and I also enjoyed. It can be watched many times and level-headed come by something unique. I unbiased hope that the Barbie makers will be working on another singing movie. the Princess and the Pauper serene rates as the top Barbie movie ever - the songs were inspired and fun. My only genuine gripe on this movie is the immense number of merchandise from this - 12 characters!

Before we first rented one of the Barbie videos for my daughter, I was expecting them to be trite, over-commercialised, and over-sugary. However, I have been pleasantly surprised.

Yes, they do have a lot of commercial spin-offs and a high saccarine count, but the quality of the Barbie films we have subsequently bought or rented, including “12 Dancing Princesses,” was significantly higher than I had expected. They have not unbiased kept my children engrossed for hours - including my son as well as my daughter - but introduced them to some heavenly stories and truly astounding music. On more than one occasion I have been listening to a CD of a classic such as Beethoven’s pastoral symphony, or The Queen of the Night’s aria from Mozart’s magic flute, and my daughter has recognised and expressed appreciation of the music, and correctly remembered which Barbie film had broken-down it. (”Magic of Pegasus” and “Mermaidia” respectively.)

The soundtrack to “Twelve Dancing Princesses” is mostly adapted from some of Mendelsohn’s best work, including “A Midsummer night’s dream” and the Scottish and Italian symphonies. It also includes a lullaby sung to the King by the 12 princesses which was based on a 16th century anthem by Byrd, the recording of which was sung beautifully by Melissa Lyons and the Women’s Occidental Glee club.

The sage is loosely based on the children’s sage. “Barbie” plays “Princess Genevieve”, the seventh of 12 daughters of a widowed King (e.g. seven young women, plus a pair of twins who appear to be about 11 and a area of triplets who appear to be about 6.) Like the new, the tale is about 12 princesses who having been banned from dancing, sneak off every night through a magic passage and retract a magic barge to a special island where they can dance all night. However, in this version the killjoy who tries to conclude them dancing is not the King their father, who loves them very remarkable, but his cousin, Duchess Rowena, who he has brought to the palace to be their tutor. At first even the princesses do not realise quite what a poor mistake this was …

As with many of the Barbie films, funny relief is provided by talking animal companions of some of the notable characaters. In this case Princess Genevieve has a pet cat, and the nefarious Duchess Rowena has an equally horrible pet monkey, Brutus. The hero, who in this version is the royal cobbler, Derek, has a pet parrot, who for some reason talks with a greatly exaggerated Indian accent. (That’s Indian from the subcontinent, not native American.)

Those people who like criticising what the Barbie franchise represents will not have remarkable disaster finding things in this production to sneer at. If you, or more importantly your kids, are allergic to an excess of twee sweetness, then this film and the Barbie videos generally may not be for them. And the female characters are all on the thin side of plausibility: I’m not stunned that watching this is going to give my daughter anorexia as she likes food too remarkable and has a valid sense of the dissimilarity between fantasy and reality, but if you are haunted that your children may be forming an unrealistic thought about how thin a healthy body shape is, that is a worry with this film.

But on the plus side: it is beautifully made, it will absorb the attention of most puny children for long enough for the typical exhausted parent to sure the mess they have made in several rooms of the house or collapse for an hour’s rest after doing so. Alternatively there are enough more sophisticated jokes thrown in that you won’t be completely bored to death if you determine to ogle it with your offspring. And best of all, the soundtrack is almost worth buying the film for on it’s beget.
